Saturday Event with Spirit Tree Inn

Tim and I had such a good time Saturday teaming up with Spirit Tree Inn for our "Living the Dream" event. We met great people who came to our winery to get a private tour and wine tasting, prune vines, and bottle wine to take home.

After working in the vineyard in the morning a picnic lunch was served before everyone returned to the Spirit Tree Inn to rest up for the wonderful four course wine dinner prepared by Tom.

Tim and I look forward to many more shared events with Spirit Tree in the future. Anyone out there interested in a "Living the Dream Harvest Day?"

Budding Artist

This last weekend the new red release and Sylvia Saenz Art Show were a big hit. From time to time our customers are accompanied by their kiddos and Joan, ever the child centered person that she is, brings out paper and crayons so they can entertain themselves while their parents linger over the wine tasting. Just think back to your childhood. Standing around while your parents do something totally adult - Yuck. Well such was the case two weekends ago and 8 year old Morgan graced us with her artwork a sample of which follows. Nice. Signed originals are for sale in the tasting room.

New Wines and Old Friends

Last Saturday we celebrated the release of our 2008 red wines and the opening of our desert wildlife art installation by Sylvia Saenz. It was nonstop busy all day, and we were lucky that Ian and Rhian flew in from New York just in time to help pour wine for customers old and new.



We were glad to see so many friends and regular customers who came down to be the first to try our new wines. Thanks to all of you who were there!



Our wildlife installation got great reviews, including from my dog Charlie who barked at the papier maché coyote who guards the smaller animals. People enjoyed meeting the artist, and many of Sylvia's paintings, sculptures, and jewelry pieces went home with happy buyers.
